Representing clients throughout Ontario.

Meet Katy

Kathryn (Katy) Graham Honsberger is Managing Director - People & Operations at Ivanov Katz LLP. As a seasoned legal services professional with approximately 25 years of relevant experience, Katy oversees the firm’s administrative functions and strategy with a focus on our people, clients and community - the pillars that our firm’s strategy is built around.

Katy brings expertise from her diversified experience across markets, firms and roles and has demonstrated an advanced ability to build relationships, manage teams and strategically influence talent and operations.  In this spirit, Katy has a proven track record of creating innovative programs and processes that optimize team engagement, service delivery and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Ivanov Katz, Katy recruited, managed, and developed the best and brightest legal talent at top Canadian law firms.  In the earlier years of her career, Katy was a litigation legal assistant and family lawyer in New York City.

When not working on Ivanov Katz matters, Katy enjoys spending time with family and friends, running on treadmills (controversially prefers more than outside) and watching NCAA basketball (in addition to logging many, many hours in gyms across Ontario with the North Toronto Huskies and East York Eagles rep teams).

Katy started her legal services career in 2001 at Sullivan & Cromwell (S&C), where she was a litigation legal assistant. She started with a class of approximately fifty legal assistants in S&C’s New York office, and after fulfilling her two-year commitment, she was selected to work at S&C’s Los Angeles office for a year.  Once at law school, Katy’s career began to focus on public interest work, with all her summers focused on serving underrepresented communities.   After graduating law school in 2007, Katy was a litigator at The Center for Family Representation, a renowned non-profit focused on defending the rights of parents and youth.   After immigrating to Canada and prior to getting called in Ontario, Katy covered a series of contract roles in the legal talent management space, including roles at McCarthy Tétrault and Goodmans.  While she ultimately was called to the Ontario bar in 2013, she fell in love with talent management, accepting her first full-time talent role at Miller Thomson, followed by a return to McCarthy Tétrault in 2018.  Katy joined Ivanov Katz LLP in 2025.
